National Adaptation Plans Good Practice Workshop
13-16 July 2015, Bangkok, Thailand: Organized by UNEP, UNDP and the Korea Environment Institute (KEI), the workshop guided participants from Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Comoros and Nepal through structured access to relevant tools and methods to be applied in developing National Adaptation Plans (NAP).
The exchange of best practices was structured around three modules of adaptation planning: (i) vulnerability assessment, (ii) appraising adaptation options; and (iii) monitoring and evaluation of adaptation. Perspectives on Adaptation Planning were also presented by Malaysia and the Republic of Korea.
The Global Programme of Research on Climate Change Vulnerability, Impacts and Adaptation (PROVIA) facilitated a focused discussion on the application of PROVIA Guidance e-tool and KEI’s Adaptation Planning Tool, with the aim of developing selected good practice case studies for NAP.
