The objective of the workshop was to increase the capacity of policy makers and technical staff to accelerate in the implementation phase of the countries National Adaptation Plan Processes and to promote innovative responses to adaptation.
This workshop was for government representatives of the Caribbean Countries, including decision makers and high-level technical specialist housed within the Ministries of Environment Finance and planning and other relevant Ministries. The participating countries included Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad y Tobago. The NAP-GSP Regional Training Workshop for the Caribbean on Innovation and Implementation of National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) took place in the Sea Garden Beach Resort Montego Bay, Jamaica from the 24-26 April 2019.
