The UNEP-UNDP National Adaptation Plan Global Support Programme (NAP-GSP) and the Global Water Partnership (GWP) organized a joint-webinar on accessing the GCF Readiness Support for National Adaptation Plan (NAP) on Wednesday, 8 December.

The webinar helped establish an understanding of the GCF Readiness Programme as an opportunity for countries to get ready to prepare GCF investment projects. The webinar provided an overview of the process and requirements for accessing GCF Readiness support for NAPs and lastly, it facilitated sharing among countries’ experiences in accessing GCF Readiness Support for NAPs. 

Country experiences were shared from Zambia, Malawi and Bhutan provided good practices and lesson learned from their processes. Among the 80 participants in the webinar were GCF National Designated Authorities (NDAs), United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Focal Points, GCF Direct Access Entities (DAEs) and Technical advisors, water and climate specialists.
