Gender and Social Inclusion Strategy
The SCALA Gender and Social Inclusion (GSI) Strategy defines the programme’s GSI targets and outlines the GSI interventions at country and global levels that will be implemented to ensure the transformative climate solutions supported by the programme respond to the needs, interests, and challenges of marginalized women and men and result in equitable benefits. Inequity is seen as a powerful barrier to climate action because it reinforces vulnerability to climate change impacts and also prohibits participation in making changes through mitigation or adaptation.
SCALA Private Sector Engagement Strategy
This strategy outlines the approach of the Scaling up Climate Ambition on Land Use and Agriculture through NDC and NAP (SCALA) programme to enable private sector engagement (PSE). This strategy has been developed to articulate the background, guiding principles and framework that informs potential country level and global activities related to PSE. In addition, it illustrates what these activities are and provides details on expected outcomes related to PSE across the different SCALA countries given their varying contexts and experience with PSE in the relevant sectors.
