Climate Change and Flood Hazards in the Great Caucasus of Azerbaijan

Flooding destroys infrastructure and can put lives at risk in Azerbaijan, where over 1 million people live in flood-prone areas. UNDP-supported projects funded through the Global Environment Facility's Special Climate Change Fund are helping build early warning systems and fostering greater climate resilience for the people whose lives and livelihoods are put at risk by climate change, increased floods and ever greater risks.
